Thankful Thursday, Indeed
November 16, 2006I’ve spent the last two hours digging through iTunes with CB, picking out Christmas songs.
We’ve got everything from Vince Guaraldi to Bing Crosby to Zooey Deschanel to Burl Ives to Bonnie Raitt to B.B. King to Elvis to John Denver to…must I really go on?
I’m burning a series of cds to send to my brother overseas, and to give to a couple of friends here in Nashville. Noone should be without Christmas music, if its wanted.
Chris might end up with a new Christmas cd too.
I love this part of the season so, so much. I can’t even put it into words.
Guess that’s it. Hasn’t been much fun around here lately, I know. Sorry about that.

No apology necessary. It’s hard to top Guaraldi come Christmas time.
My best to you and yours.
Mike
Zooey Deschanel? Really? Didn’t see that one coming in that list.
She and Leon Redbone sang “Baby It’s Cold Outside” on the Elf soundtrack.
It’s highly recommended.
The Zooey/Leon song might be my favorite Christmas song ever.
When it comes to “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, I gotta have me some Barry Manilow…
Ahhhh Christmas music. I LOVE it.
It’s wanted! It’s wanted!
For years I had Linus & Lucy as my ringtone on my cell… i might have to go get it again and retire my Boondocks theme song.
What’s in the mix?
I’m feeling inspired to make an Xmas mix too — we should trade copies.
Merry Christmas (baby please come home) by Darlene Love..I lOVE that song year around. U2’s version is all right, but Darlene just sings the holly hell out of it.
