We Are Party ANIMALS!

At some time and without fanfare we reached the point where we’d rather stay home than go out on a Friday or Saturday night. What does this mean? It means we’re old, methinks.

We spent all day Saturday over at our friends’ new house painting and helping lay hardwood floors, and were at home and cashed on the couch by 10:30. Party on.

Sunday was spent doing things around the house…little things that reeeeaaallly excited me. For instance, we hung these:

Yes! Hooks! Now we can hang up our coats instead of throwing them on the table! Whoo hoo! (Seriously, I was that excited about it.)

In addition to the hanging of the coat hooks, we also got the last of the Christmas stuff put in the attic, hung some picture frames, and I completed the pièce de résistance (are you sure you can handle it?):
Clean, straightened, sanitized KITCHEN CABINETS! Do you even KNOW how long I’ve wanted to throw out all the old half full bags of powdered sugar and the extra 4 cannisters of parsley flakes that have been taking up precious room on these shelves? I can’t do it little by little – I’m a ’set aside a day and make it into a huge project’ kind of girl. Ahhh, it’s so nice now just to open these doors and gaze upon the beauty that is organization.

Any hope I had of being cool and desirable just went out the window, didn’t it. Oh well. I don’t care. Know why? Cuz I have clean cabinets!
