stormy skies
June 8, 2007We’ve got some really cool looking skies in Brentwood.
The rain has arrived. I can’t think of more fitting weather for my mood today.
ETA: We really needed the rain, but the wind that came with it got a little out of hand.
That’s the big pretty tree in our backyard. There was no damage and no injuries, thank goodness. Doesn’t it look so lush and green? I love standing underneath this tree on a breezy day. I gaze up into the waving branches and disappear…ahhhh.
Anyway, half of it is now on the ground. We’ve added a chainsaw to our list of unexpected but necessary upcoming purchases. Since ‘refrigerator’ and ‘new air conditioner’ are directly above it on the list, this new addition gets a low priority marking. This fallen bough will likely remain where it is for awhile. Eh, it gives the cat something to play on, so it’s not all bad.
i chose today to do a “day in the life” type photo project. it was a good day to pick since i also got some photos of these fantastic skies from downtown. i’ll probably put up the results tomorrow, since the “day in the life” ain’t over yet…
