buffy observations upon completion of season 3

March 4, 2008

Willow and Oz’s kids would have gee-orgeous eyes.

As much as I love Angel, that panting thing he does when he’s upset or hurt got old fast.

Joyce is a complete and utter moron. Her only saving grace is that she was married to Max Headroom.

Spike is a genius.

Spike is also much better at faking a British accent than Wesley. Wesley’s is horrific.

I miss Spike. I’m ready for him to come back.

Buffy always wears waterproof makeup. A slayer never knows when she may have to break down in tears after her vamp boyfriend breaks her heart. In a sewer.

  1. Spike comes as a fulltime cast member in season four and remains so until the end of Buffy. I’ll not say more about where his storyline goes…but it will come as an interesting surprise, I think.

You can tell in season three that the Angel spin-off was originally supposed to come mid-season. Angel literally has little to do other than stalk the background for much of the second half of season three. WB was initially hesistant on the spin-off and eventually greenlit it.

Can you tell that fan reaction to Mr Trick was overall negative? Basically, he was no Spike…

And that’s why the mayor plotline was moved forward and Faith went evil.

Wesley’s accent gets better on Angel. In fact, the overall work of Alexis Denisof on Angel is better.

And get ready for season four. It’s gone of the best episode of Buffy ever. That said, a lot of fans don’t care for it as much. I like it but it’s not my favorite season. (Those being two and five)

  2. I have a huge crush on Spike. Wesley’s accent does get better on Angel. I so agree with Michael here.
When you see Hush, I want to IM with you because it is one of my favorite episodes ever.
And “Fool For Love” which is spikecentric.

Man, I’m reliving Buffy through you!

  3. Cool coincidence, I’m doing the Buffy DVD’s myself right now. I just started season two though, so I guess I’ll have to be careful not to read any spoilers here :)
