Goddamn it, Bill, I’m supposed to be in California
August 26, 2008Runner up title that was too long: If you are in the Los Angeles area and you want to get tickets to Hitler then call 213-Du Werdest Eine Krankenschwester Brauchen!
This is a call for help from you folks more worldly from me:
I’m heading to LA this week to visit some friends. I’ve never been, and will be staying for 4 full days. I’m planning on taking the WB studio tour while the bride works on Friday day, and we’re planning on hitting a winery or two, the walk of fame, and the Pacific.
Past that, what shouldn’t I miss?
One would think that there’d be plenty of movie related spots to see in Hollywood, but so many of them are filmed on lots, I’m kind of at a loss. I did look up addresses for some Buffy locations, but I don’t know if they’ll be too convenient to get to.
Got any suggestions? Things you’ve seen or would like to see? Lay it on me.

The beach down in Orange County in Laguna Beach is so awesome. I missed seeing the Pacific Ocean during my trip to the great northwest this past week, so I am jealous.
Rhino Records. Take a little time to drive around and look at the Sunset Strip and Melrose, but be prepared it’s dirtier than you are prepared for.
Also, the Farmer’s Market over near Pink’s is good for a wander through.
Look for a documentary called “Mayor of the Sunset Strip” for a lot of interesting history on the area and a sad insight into an interesting character.
